Upon arrival, the beds are made and there are two towels for each guest.
BEDROOM 'BACK ROOM'

The living room of our summer house was previously used as a show room. With beautiful furniture, beautiful crockery and beautiful carpet. People actually only sat here when special visitors came or on Sunday afternoons after church. During the week, the residents of Húns 16 always sat in the back room. The old wooden cupboard - where the simple crockery was kept - is a reminder of this. The back room is now a small bedroom with a beautiful view of the backyard, the canal and the pasture with Frisian horses.

BEDROOM
'HORSE ROOM'

This room was completed in 2020. From the window you not only have a beautiful view over the meadows with Frisian horses, you can also spot nine church spiers from nearby villages with binoculars. Sleeping in this room is a real Friesland holiday.
BEDROOM 'KAATS-ROOM'
Bedroom with two single beds
This room was also completed in 2020. From this room you have a view over the large Húns field. The field is an excavated mound that now serves as a handball court and as a playing field for local youth. For many children, Húns 16 is the ultimate holiday home in Friesland.

BATHROOM 1st FLOOR
This bathroom was completed during the 2020 renovation. With a wonderful rain shower, an illuminated mirror and here too a view over the kaats field.
KITCHEN 'SHEEP STABLE'
Spacious kitchen with all modern appliances

In 2021 we converted the old - almost dilapidated - sheep stable into a spacious and cozy kitchen. Where you can easily eat with eight people. All the equipment you would expect in a modern kitchen is present; dishwasher, oven, induction hob, espresso machine, sandwich maker and kettle. The folding benches contain garden cushions, parasols and a cool box.

BATHROOM GROUND FLOOR
We completely renovated this bathroom in the spring of 2023. The bathroom is on the ground floor. With a toilet, rain shower, sink, mirror and a view over the meadows .
LIVING ROOM
Two double sofas and a box bed for two children
The living room - in times gone by the stately room - is now the central place of the house. With two large comfortable sofas, a TV for all your streaming subscriptions and of course the beautiful woodwork from 1842. With a box bed where two children can sleep, a provision cupboard with the original paint and a second box bed where you can now find our board games, among other things.
