FIERLJEPPEN

An ancient sport in Friesland. What started with farmers jumping over ditches with a wooden stick to get to their pastures is now an impressive sport where fierljeppers with carbon wrists bridge enormous distances. And near Húns you can try it yourself.

ICE SKATING IN FRIESLAND

Are you coming to celebrate Christmas holidays in Friesland? With a bit of luck you can go on the natural ice. As soon as the frost sets in, the villagers of Húns join forces to transform the kaats field into an ice rink. The field is flooded and after a few nights of frost, the skates can be tied on.

Indoor skating

No frost? Then you can always go ice skating in the indoor hall of Thialf or in the Elfstedenhal.
