HÚNS - HATSUM - WINSUM - BEARD

Starting in Húns, the approximately 14 kilometer route winds past quiet country lanes and picturesque farms. Along the way you pass typical Frisian waterways and the wooden windmill from the 19th century that is still in operation.

JABIKSPAAD NEAR LEONS

The Jabikspaad, also known as the Frisian part of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella, offers a unique walking experience through the heart of Friesland. This long-distance walk takes pilgrims and walkers past historic churches, quaint villages and breathtaking landscapes, largely following the traditional path that pilgrims have walked for centuries. One of the most enchanting parts of the Jabikspaad is the stretch between Bolsward and Leeuwarden, where walkers are treated to sweeping views over the Frisian countryside and past the atmospheric towns and villages that make the region so unique.

The Alde Feanen National Park, located in the heart of Friesland, is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. ST. ODULPHUS PATH

The St. Odulphuspad includes a special route through the Greidhoeke, called Campanarium. This 20 kilometer long section takes hikers from Mantgum via Blessum to Easterlittens. Along the way you will enjoy the characteristic meadow areas with their vast green fields and historic farms. The path offers a scenic route past old terp villages, picturesque ditches and the iconic terp churches that characterize this region.

Walk through the most beautiful forests of Friesland. Such as the Rijsterbos and the Schwartzenbergerbos. These forests are full of life and are perfect for relaxation and recreation. SLACHTEDIJK WALKING ROUTE

 

This old dike path, which used to serve as a protective dike, offers beautiful views over green meadows. Along the way you will pass historic farms and characteristic Frisian villages.
