Fryske dúmkes are crispy, sweet, thumb-sized cookies that are flavoured with aniseed and ginger powder. These traditional spice cookies are perfect with coffee or tea. They are enriched with finely chopped hazelnuts and baked in the oven. Sometimes cinnamon or other nuts are added.
